Whether you are wanting to incorporate more healthy greens into your own diet or are like me and are trying to sneek some veggies into your ten month old baby's, this quick and healthy drink is a perfect breakfast or snack or post work out refresher.
Kale and Apple Juice Drink
This drink is somewhere between a juice and a smoothie.
Combine 1 ripe banana, the leaf part from about 7 kale leafs, and a few glugs of apple juice (real organic apple juice - not the kind from concentrate that is full of added sugar) in a blender. Blend until smooth. Add more apple juice if the drink is still thick.
Note: I imagine adding a squeeze of fresh lemon juice would really balance out the flavors in this drink. I, however, did not try this, with the thought that lemon juice would be more likely to shy away a baby.
